About The Position

One Community Health (OCH) is currently seeking a Welcome Team Manager to lead our dedicated receptionist team for a multi-provider, Medical, Dental and Behavioral Health clinic. The Welcome Team plays a crucial role in ensuring that every patient's visit to One Community Health clinic is a positive one. As the Welcome Team Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Receptionists, working collaboratively to provide exceptional patient experiences through efficient patient registration, check-in, medical and dental scheduling, billing, payments, and maintenance of medical records. This position is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the check-in and check-out process are accurately documented, while maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction and facilitating patient access to care. This position is full-time and located at our clinic in The Dalles, Oregon. Join us in our mission to advance health and social justice for all members of our community.

Requirements

  • 2 years of front desk experience in healthcare
  • 2 years of supervisory experience (supervisory experience does not need to be in health care)
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced office setting
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish & maintain strong working relationships with patients, staff, and providers
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Willingness to travel between health center sites, as needed
  • High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • Experience with Epic EMR

Responsibilities

  • Lead Front Desk team at The Dalles Clinic.
  • Foster a supportive, efficient, and values driven environment for patients & staff.
  • Supervise day to day front office operations, including patient registration, check in/ check out, scheduling, & patient payment collection; monitor & maintain smooth and efficient patient flow
  • Supervise front desk staff; coordinate staff work schedules, time off, & timecards
  • Hiring & new hire training
  • Ongoing staff training & QA
  • Ensure staff have the resources, tools, and training needed to perform job duties
  • Respond to patient questions & concerns
  • Monitor & maintain professional appearance of the front desk area of the clinic
  • Coordinate closely with medical, dental, behavioral health departments, and call center.
  • Work closely with leaders across the organization to deliver excellent patient care and service.
  • Actively participate as Front Desk staff member, performing all daily responsibilities as needed
