About The Position

The Welcome Center Attendant helps maintain a safe environment by greeting and providing directions if needed to visitors, monitoring fire panel, maintaining traffic log, and securing assigned doors. This role contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed, maintaining punctuality, and completing shift assignments. The attendant performs their job with a neat, professional appearance and conducts themselves in a friendly, professional manner to provide quality customer service. Responsibilities include monitoring the fire alarm system, maintaining the vehicle log and monitoring traffic, giving directions, and locking/unlocking assigned doors. Communication with residents, the maintenance department, and other personnel is essential, as is helping to maintain and secure all areas of Salemtowne by reporting any maintenance/security issues. The role requires maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and promoting and supporting the Salemtowne Shines culture and philosophy. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • One (1) to two (2) years’ security experience
  • Good oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong positive attitude toward customer service
  • Genuine interest in geriatric care
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and following written and verbal directions
  • Ability to strive to do the best job possible and accountable for one’s own action
  • Capability of handling routine problems effectively
  • Detail-oriented
  • Willingness to maintain a safety-first mindset
  • Ability to work in a team environment
