About The Position

As our Welcome Center Associate, you will be on the frontline of all visitors to G&C Foods; therefore, this individual shall project a positive and friendly attitude at all times. The Welcome Center Associate is responsible for directing drivers with returns, organizing and processing receiving paperwork, and ultimately being the final inspection point for trucks exiting the premises with the correct trailers, temperature, and load.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
  • 1-2 yrs experience in a Security or related field preferred
  • Computer literate: comfortable learning new software, information tracking and organizing with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of property surveillance, systems, loss prevention, and safety
  • Knowledge Transportation protocol a plus
  • Strong customer service skills and maintain a friendly and professional attitude
  • Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends if necessary.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for long periods of time
  • Stamina to perform physically demanding work in various conditions

Responsibilities

  • Ensure drivers are exiting the premises with the correct trailers, temperatures, seals and loads.
  • Assisting drivers with sealing the trailers prior to departure
  • Direct drivers with returns/pallet jacks where to unload
  • Collect and scan all Driver return paperwork into shared files. (Label the scan with vendor and date)
  • Verify and coordinate all customer pickup orders
  • Communicate to our designated staff and customer of the arrival of customer, designation of pickup and location/door to arrive at
  • Log in and out times of all customers and vendors, while also acknowledging employees
  • Correlate all paperwork from the inbound drivers including PO’s and BOL’s
  • Assign the incoming backhaul, inbound or customer pickups a door based on the type of load being delivered
  • Provide the inbound drivers with the correlated paperwork to bring to the receiving window
  • Assist all G&C Drivers with any needs such as paperwork and dispatch, etc.
  • Conducts routine patrols to secure assigned areas and maintain perimeter protection.
  • Monitor alarm systems, emergency evacuations, and activity.
  • Adheres to established procedures for fire safety, property patrol, and incident documentation.
  • Assesses and responds to alarms or incidents professionally, following company procedures.
  • Reports all security breaches using established protocols and reporting methods.
  • Notifies the Supervisor on Duty when situations require escalation.
  • Supports team members with de-escalation efforts in accordance with protocol.
  • Maintains a high level of professionalism to ensure the safety of people and property.
  • Complies fully with all company policies, service standards, and operational guidelines.
