About The Position
This is a full-time position for a Weekend Yard Driver (DOT) at the Olive Branch, Mississippi distribution center (DC2). The role involves performing essential job functions such as trailer switches, transporting trailers between off-site locations, and performing daily inspections of yard equipment. The driver will also be responsible for general warehouse duties, including loading and unloading trailers and operating forklift-type equipment, as needed by the distribution center. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be DOT qualified with a current class A CDL.
- Must be able to back 48’ and 53’ trailers proficiently.
- Driving record (MVR) must be acceptable.
Nice To Haves
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Ability to adapt to job duty and department changes, as required.
Responsibilities
- Perform required trailer switches, many of which are urgent and critical.
- Transport trailers between off-site locations.
- Perform daily inspections of yard equipment and report all defects.
- Ensure units are maintained in a safe manner.
- Perform general warehouse duties as needed, including loading and unloading trailers.
- Operate forklift-type equipment.
