About The Position

The Center at Tucson is a skilled nursing facility that serves patients needing physical rehabilitation and/or complex nursing care. Requirements

  • Must possess a current and valid fingerprint clearance card (FPCC).
  • Must possess a current and valid Registered Nurse license.
  • Must possess a current and valid CPR certification.
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
  • Must have at least one year experience as a licensed RN.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must possess the ability to tactfully work with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
  • Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
  • Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA compliance and requirements, and have the ability to maintain highly confidential information.
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of other individuals in the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients.
  • Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the nursing staff.
  • Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing staff in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Assist with admissions (i.e., inputting orders, taking report, etc.).
  • Address questions and concerns from patients and patient families.
  • Assist with med pass and floor nursing as needed.
  • Perform audits as assigned by nursing management.
