About The Position

Salinas Valley Post Acute is seeking a friendly, professional, and dependable Weekend Receptionist to join our team. The primary purpose of this position is to attend to and greet visitors, answer telephones, and provide administrative support within the Reception/Administrative area. This position is limited to clerical duties only and has no clinical involvement or responsibilities of any kind.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general administrative and clerical support.
  • Greet and welcome patients, clients, family members, and visitors with a friendly and positive demeanor.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls, take messages, and forward calls as appropriate.
  • Check visitors in and direct or escort them to designated locations.
  • Notify staff members of visitor arrivals and cancellations.
  • Maintain the visitor sign-in log.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain meeting room reservations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
  • Perform other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Agree not to disclose residents' protected health information (PHI) and promptly report any suspected or known violations to the Administrator.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information.
  • Report any known or suspected incidents involving unauthorized disclosure of confidential information.
