The receptionist provides a positive first impression and quality customer service to residents, family members, applicants, visitors, vendors, and team members upon entering the community. The receptionist manages a multi-line telephone system, distributes mail and faxes, maintains office supplies, and assists managers with special projects and mailings. This role also supports the Executive Director and Business Office Manager as needed, while maintaining the confidentiality of resident information and upholding resident rights. A professional appearance and demeanor are expected to foster a positive environment. The role also involves ensuring adequate daily coverage for meal service by communicating with the Culinary Services Director and/or Host/Hostess, which includes taking resident orders, providing drink refills, and assisting with dining room upkeep between mealtimes. All other assigned duties are also part of the role.
