About The Position

BrightStar Care Louisville has an immediate need for Private Duty Registered Nurses (RN) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for weekend shifts in the Louisville, KY area. We offer full and part-time shifts for weekend days and overnights with an hourly incentive. We are a company that truly cares about our employees and clients, providing a higher standard of home care skilled nursing. Our patients require skilled bedside care with g-tube/trach/vent/SP cath-care. We are looking for dedicated nurses who want to make a difference in people's lives.

Requirements

Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in Kentucky
Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
Minimum one (1) year of documented experience required with bedside care preferred
Experience with g-tubes, trachs/vent and cath care preferred
Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to commute/relocate: Louisville, KY: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Nice To Haves

Bedside care experience
Experience with g-tubes, trachs/vent and cath care
BLS Certification (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Provide thoughtful care to client & patients based on personalized Plan of Care
Monitor and track changes in the client/patient’s conditions and needs, and keeps the Nurse Manager and any other appropriate personnel informed
Proactively updates client/patients’ family on plan of care, health changes, and concerns
