Weekend Overnight Caregiver - Lakeway
About The Position
Halcyon Home is seeking an experienced and dependable caregiver for an ongoing Friday and Saturday overnight position in Lakeway, TX. This role involves providing care from 4:00 PM to 8:00 AM, totaling 16 hours per weekend. The client has hearing difficulties, requiring a caregiver who is mature, speaks clearly, and communicates effectively. A skilled CNA is preferred due to the level of care needed. The ideal candidate will have significant experience caring for clients with advanced dementia or cognitive impairment, and be comfortable with overnight supervision, mobility assistance, and personal care.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with dementia and/or cognitive impairment
- Skilled CNA experience preferred
- Strong understanding of fall prevention and safe mobility assistance
- Mature, patient, calm, dependable, and able to work independently
- Clear communication skills and the ability to speak loudly and clearly due to the client's hearing impairment
- Comfortable committing to a long-term, recurring weekend schedule

Responsibilities
- Assist with the evening bedtime routine and getting settled for the night
- Provide safe nighttime toileting and mobility assistance
- Monitor for fall risks and implement fall-prevention measures
- Assist with morning showering, dressing, and breakfast
- Follow the established care routine and provide a thorough shift handoff
- Communicate clearly and professionally with the client and care team
