About The Position

Senior Helpers of Lake Country is seeking passionate Part-Time Caregivers (10-29 hours) to join their growing team. This role focuses on providing weekend and overnight care for seniors in their homes. The company offers specialized care for chronic diseases and companion services for daily activities, aiming to improve the quality of life for clients, families, and employees. Caregivers are matched with clients based on unique needs, assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), light housekeeping, meal preparation, and providing companionship. The position emphasizes making a difference in the lives of seniors and their loved ones.

Requirements

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills rooted in warmth and compassion.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, consistently treats others with respect, and upholds high standards for both self and team.
  • Professional demeanor and strong customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • A desire to assist others and improve their quality of life.
  • Experience with in-home care preferred but will consider training the right person.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a compassionate and dependable work ethic, with a proven ability to provide high-quality non-medical companion care rooted in empathy, dignity, and respect for every individual.
  • Valid Driver’s License, insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • Physical ability to assist with lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • High School Graduate or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of background check and pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, in-home assistance to seniors.
  • Offer essential care and genuine companionship to help older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, or bathing.
  • Provide assistance with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
  • Engage with clients in hobbies, games, or attending social events.
  • Support clients’ independence and well-being.
