About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Weekend Nurse, RN for its residential substance use disorder facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role works every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The nurse manages the medical intake process and performs nursing shift duties, including taking vital signs, completing drug screens, and scheduling appointments and lab work. The position also coordinates pharmacy and prescription needs, dispenses medication, maintains accurate medication logs, collaborates with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care, and ensures complete, timely, and accurate medical documentation for each client.

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehabilitation centers offering services across levels of care, including detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services. The organization is JCAHO- and CARF-accredited and complies with ASAM standards.

Requirements

• Complete a minimum one-year diploma program after high school.
• Hold current licensure to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges.
• Have addiction-related experience.
• Have strong written and oral communication skills.
• Be detail-oriented and able to multitask and work efficiently.
• Demonstrate a compassionate and dignified character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities
