Record, process, and analyze the day's closing figures. Complete all required reports and ensure that the day's credit transactions are all in balance. Attend to guests needs, including but not limited to, registration, checkout, cashiering, and making guest wake up calls. The position acts as the Manager on Duty during the night-time hours, greeting and welcoming guests, performing registration and check-out procedures, accepting payments, maintaining a house bank, cashing checks, exchanging currency, handling cash transactions, acknowledging rewards members, taking and managing guest bookings, handling guest inquiries and requests, performing audit procedures, completing daily reports, balancing cash receipts, preparing the front office for the AM Shift, maintaining nightly reports, acting as PBX operator, transmitting and receiving messages, ensuring wake up calls are made, and assisting in emergency situations. The role also involves posting charges, making reservations, reviewing arrival reports, checking special request reservations, attending training and meetings, and staying aware of hotel promotions and activities. Practice safe work habits, ensure privacy and security protocols are followed, answer guest inquiries, maintain lobby cleanliness, assist with bookings, and handle mail and packages.
