This role is part of the dedicated Recreation TEAM, crucial for ensuring the safety and enjoyment of guests at the pool and water facilities. Lifeguards are essential for maintaining a safe environment and providing outstanding guest service, requiring vigilance, professionalism, and friendly interactions in a fast-paced, outdoor setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Physical role requiring heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, twisting and kneeling
  • CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard certified.

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • 6 months of work experience as a Lifeguard – preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Guests in recreational areas and provide constant surveillance of pool areas to ensure Guest safety.
  • Act as a first responder to emergency situations that occur in the Recreational Areas.
  • Enforce policies, rules and regulations of the Recreation locations.
  • Perform life saving techniques, C.P.R and first aid procedures in emergency situations.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time while monitoring the pool, lazy rizer and pier area.
  • Work in outdoor settings during various weather conditions.
  • Clear Waterpark and Pool area of used towels, lifejackets, and trash.
  • Maintain and exchange used and clean towel bins.
  • Proactively address Guest needs by answering questions, giving directions and other information about the resort or surrounding areas.
  • Maintain overall upkeep of all cabanas.
