About The Position

A respectful, well-run private household in Atherton is seeking an experienced Weekend Housekeeper to provide consistent support during high-use days. This is a temporary role with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position based on performance and household needs. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys working in a calm, team-oriented environment and takes pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and order. You’ll collaborate with an established household team and contribute to a smooth, well-maintained home environment during busy family weekends.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in private households or luxury hospitality
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and pride in work
• Discreet, reliable, and respectful of privacy
• Calm, professional demeanor with a team-player mindset
• Strong common sense and the ability to “read the room” in a lived-in home
• Comfortable taking direction while remaining proactive
• Fluent in English
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver’s license and strong references required
• Must live within a reasonable commuting distance

Responsibilities

• Detailed daily cleaning and upkeep of all interior spaces
• Care for high-end finishes, surfaces, and furnishings
• Laundry care: washing, folding, steaming, and pressing
• Bed making and linen/towel changes
• Maintaining organization in closets, cabinets, and shared spaces
• Light tidying of common areas during family use
• Monitoring and reporting household or maintenance needs
• Occasional support for light entertaining or guest readiness
