About The Position

The Weekend Experience Videographer creates video content that helps shape Southeast’s weekend services. Working closely with the Creative Director of Weekend Experience and the broader Weekend Experience team, this person helps take video projects from idea through final delivery. This role also supports Southeast campuses by identifying ways video can strengthen their weekend experience and creating resources that serve different campus environments well. The goal is not simply to make great videos. It is to understand what each moment in the service needs and create video content that helps accomplish it.

  • Strong understanding of camera operation, lighting, audio, and post-production workflows, with the ability to create high-quality work using the tools available.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Someone who can move comfortably between different types of work, from a simple recurring weekend update to a highly produced testimony or sermon bumper, and understands the appropriate level of production for each.
  • A creative thinker who asks what a service or moment needs before deciding what video to make.
  • A collaborative creative who can contribute ideas, receive direction and feedback without ego, and work alongside people from different creative, technical, and ministry disciplines.
  • A dependable and organized person who can manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, adapt when plans change, and balance creative ambition with available time, people, budgets, and production resources.
  • Engaged member of Southeast Christian Church, or willing to become one.
  • Exemplifies our seven staff values: Honor, Care, Accountability, Grit, Authenticity, Humility, and Fun.
  • Leads by example fulfilling the staff expectations of groups, inviting, serving, worship and giving.
  • Agree with the Statement of Faith, submit to the leadership established by the church, and lives out our church Mantras in tangible ways.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cinema cameras is a plus, but resourcefulness, technical understanding, and the quality of the final work matter more than the equipment used.
  • Experience with After Effects, motion graphics, or other creative tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create a wide range of video content for Southeast’s weekend services, including testimony videos, sermon bumpers, Scripture readings, countdowns, MOVE updates, teaching elements, and other service content.
  • Take video projects from concept through final delivery, including creative development, pre-production, filming, interviewing, editing, sound, color, motion graphics, and final delivery based on the needs of each project.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director of Weekend Experience, Creative Producer, preaching, worship, production, design, lighting, and other contributors to determine where video can best support the journey and key moments of a service.
  • Participate in the Series Brief and Creative Brief process, bringing ideas and helping translate teaching themes, ministry goals, and weekend needs into effective video concepts.
  • Support Southeast campuses in strengthening their weekend experience by listening to their needs, identifying opportunities where video can help, and creating practical solutions and resources that work across different campus environments.
  • Steward Southeast’s video equipment, footage, project files, and media library with strong organization while consistently delivering work on schedule and at a high creative and technical standard.
