About The Position
Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring an experienced caregiver or CNA to handle evening hospice care for our client. You will play a vital role in helping the client wind down comfortably for the night and ensuring a smooth transition to the overnight team. This role offers consistent evening hours, perfect for caregivers looking to keep their mornings free or stack hours on the weekend. The company provides comprehensive support, including full office backup, clear care plans, and recognition for hard work.
Requirements
- Prior hospice, palliative care, or CNA experience required.
- Outstanding punctuality and attendance to ensure coverage handoffs.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with dinner prep, feeding assistance, and evening personal care/hygiene.
- Providing gentle repositioning, pain/comfort monitoring, and bed-prep routines.
- Ensuring a calm, peaceful environment and conducting a seamless handoff to the 11:00 PM overnight caregiver.
