About The Position
Assisting Hands Home Care is hiring an experienced caregiver or CNA to handle evening hospice care for our client. You will play a vital role in helping the client wind down comfortably for the night and ensuring a smooth transition to the overnight team. This role offers consistent evening hours on Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, totaling 16 hours per week. The pay rate is $15.00 – $17.00/hour, based on experience and CNA status. The company provides comprehensive support, including full office backup, clear care plans, and recognition for hard work.
Requirements
- Prior hospice, palliative care, or CNA experience required.
- Outstanding punctuality and attendance to ensure coverage handoffs.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must pass a background check.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with dinner prep, feeding assistance, and evening personal care/hygiene.
- Providing gentle repositioning, pain/comfort monitoring, and bed-prep routines.
- Ensuring a calm, peaceful environment and conducting a seamless handoff to the 11:00 PM overnight caregiver.
