About The Position

BrightStar Care of Chicago & La Grange is seeking two (2) Weekend CNA Field Specialists to provide continuity of care to clients every other weekend. Field Specialists are flexible, team-oriented individuals who are dedicated to making a difference in clients' lives by ensuring adequate staffing during their available hours. This role requires availability every other weekend (Saturdays/Sundays) from 7 am to 11 pm, with a guaranteed 20 hours of work within that availability. The assigned schedule may vary or change weekly, even up to the day of the shift. Field Specialists must remain available during their designated hours and be able to travel to any shift within the territory within an hour if on-call. The role involves working with diverse clients, skills, and personalities, and requires a minimum of 5 years of recent experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant, including training and willingness to use Hoyer Lifts and Transfers. Professional communication with supervisors, staff, clients, and families is essential. Reliable transportation and a cell phone are necessary for travel to shifts in both Downtown Chicago and the Western Suburbs. The ability to work with pets is also required. A deep understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality is crucial. Additional shifts during the week are possible but must not interfere with the primary weekend availability agreement to maintain the higher pay rate. Overtime hours may be limited due to the position's higher pay rate.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of recent experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant
Trained on Hoyer Lifts and Transfers and willing to use them in the home
Present and Communicate Professionally with Supervisors, Other Staff, Clients, and Family Members at all times
Reliable Transportation and Cell Phone to Use and get to shifts in both Downtown Chicago and Western Suburbs if needed
Must be able to work with pets (friendly cats and/or dogs) if needed
Have a Deep understanding of HIPAA and Confidentiality when working with clients and their family members
A current, valid state certification and in good standing
High school diploma or GED
Successful completion of a nursing assistant program
Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
Cleared Physical to work as a caregiver
Minimum one (1) year of documented health care experience is required
Licensed driver with insured and reliable automobile
Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull up to 50 lbs. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.
Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds.

You have the ability to pick up additional shifts during the week and on days outside of this Weekend Field Specialist Availability, but must maintain the above agreement and hours of availability as well to maintain the higher payrate.

Responsibilities

Providing care as directed by a nursing supervisor, including but not limited to: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities, taking and recording vital signs, and assisting with height and weight measurements, if necessary
