About The Position

ComForCare Home Care – Central DuPage is seeking a reliable and experienced CNA, Caregiver, or HHA to support a senior client in Wheaton, Illinois. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is confident with safe patient handling, enjoys one-on-one caregiving, and is available for a consistent weekend schedule. Hands-on experience using a Hoyer Lift or mechanical patient lift is required. The role involves promoting the client's safety, dignity, comfort, and independence through various caregiving tasks.

Requirements

  • Previous professional caregiving or senior-care experience
  • Hands-on Hoyer Lift or mechanical lift experience
  • Knowledge of safe transfers, mobility assistance, and fall prevention
  • Ability to provide respectful and patient-centered care
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently in a client’s home
  • Good communication and documentation skills
  • Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation, if required
  • Willingness to complete required screening and onboarding procedures
  • Available every weekend from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Providing personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Using a Hoyer Lift or mechanical lift for safe transfers
  • Assisting with repositioning, mobility, and transfers
  • Supporting bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing
  • Providing incontinence care as needed
  • Following safe patient-handling and fall-prevention practices
  • Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when necessary
  • Offering companionship and emotional support
  • Providing medication reminders according to the care plan
  • Completing light housekeeping related to the client's care
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in the client's condition
  • Following the client's individualized service plan
  • Communicating professionally with the office, family, and care team
