About The Position
Ideal Care, LLC is seeking Support Staff for weekend shifts in the Mira Mesa area of San Diego, CA, to assist a male client in his 60s with developmental disabilities. This is a part-time, hourly position with a supported living service agency that provides compassionate support living services. This is a rewarding and unique opportunity.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working with adults with disabilities
- Positivity, resourcefulness, initiative, enthusiasm, energy, consistency, patience
- Knowledge of developmental disabilities
- Have reliable transportation, driver's license and car insurance
- CPR/First Aid certificate (company will provide training if needed)
- Sexual Harassment Prevention certificate (company will provide training if needed)
Responsibilities
- Help with household management skills
- Light cleaning
- Going out in the community
- Cooking some meals
- Helping client on his personal goals
- Transporting the client to doctor appointments, activities, and/or grocery shopping
