About The Position

Visiting Angels’ Marble Falls office is seeking compassionate caregivers to support senior adults and others in need throughout the Highland Lakes area, including Burnet, Marble Falls, Lampasas, Buchanan Dam, and Llano. The role provides companionship and a range of in-home support, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care, mobility assistance, and transportation. Caregivers may also pursue advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care. The posting lists full-time, part-time, PRN, and short-shift options, including 8-hour and 12-hour shifts. This position is specifically identified as a weekend caregiver role.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and a genuine caregiver orientation.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including transportation to appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping.
Perform light housekeeping tasks clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Respond quickly and responsibly to emergencies.
