About The Position

Operates CNC controlled Brake Presses by performing various duties including reading and interpreting blueprints, calculating bend allowances, selecting proper tooling, setting up and operating the Brake Press for a wide variety of operations, running prototype jobs and new parts orders, writing set-up sheets, understanding advanced programming functions, and inspecting parts using precision measuring equipment. The role also involves cleaning and organizing the work area.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization in small groups or one-on-one.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training
  • High School Diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
