About The Position

Operates CNC controlled Brake Presses by performing duties such as reading and interpreting blueprints, calculating bend allowances, selecting proper punch and die tooling, setting up and adjusting the Brake Press, running prototype jobs and new parts orders, writing set-up sheets, understanding advanced programming functions, and inspecting parts using precision measuring equipment. The role also involves cleaning and organizing the work area.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, memos, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information to other employees of the organization in small groups or one-on-one.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
