About The Position

Beyond Behavior Consulting is seeking a Behavior Technician to provide high-quality, individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children in home and community settings on the weekend. This position will work one-on-one with our valued clients under the supervision and direction of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This position is responsible for implementing individualized treatment plans, collecting and documenting behavioral data, teaching new skills, reducing challenging behaviors, and creating a safe, positive, and supportive environment for clients.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED and at least 6 months to a 1 year of experience as a Behavior Technician OR a bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social work, behavioral health, or a related field.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Must be able to use electronic timekeeping and data collection systems.
  • Successfully submit required state and federal background clearances including PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal History, and FBI Fingerprint clearances.
  • Ability to obtain CPR Certification and Mandated Reporter Training Certificate of completion.
  • Patient, enthusiastic, and dependable individual who genuinely enjoys helping children with autism and has availability strictly on the weekends.
  • Communicate effectively, work professionally with families and clinical teams, follow treatment plans and direction, accept feedback, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing client needs, actively engage children through play and learning, maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries, and work collaboratively as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
  • Coursework or education in Applied Behavior Analysis.
  • Experience working with children or adolescents.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, emotional disturbance, intellectual disabilities, or other behavioral needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized 1:1 ABA therapy in the home and community on the weekend.
  • Implement individualized behavior intervention and treatment plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Collect accurate behavioral and skill-acquisition data during daily sessions.
  • Graph and maintain client data as required.
  • Use evidence-based ABA strategies, including positive reinforcement, prompting, shaping, chaining, differential reinforcement, and token economies.
  • Support clients in developing communication, social, adaptive, academic, and other functional skills.
  • Implement behavior-reduction strategies safely and appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed session notes using appropriate ABA terminology.
  • Maintain client program materials and VB program books.
  • Communicate professionally and regularly with BCBA and caregivers.
  • Attend individual and group supervision meetings and complete required documentation.
  • Follow company policies, clinical protocols, and safety procedures with minimal prompting.
  • Respond appropriately to client crises and emergencies according to established protocols and training.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries at all times.
  • Promote client safety and create a positive, engaging learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings and required trainings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
