About The Position
The Works is seeking a Weekend Baker for its Hanover, NH location. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys early mornings and working independently. The baker will be responsible for the preparation and baking of various signature items, including bagels, artisan breads, and other baked goods. The position emphasizes food safety, inventory management, and maintaining quality consistency. Paid training will be provided for individuals with a passion for baking and a drive for quality, even if they lack prior professional experience. This is a part-time position with early morning weekend shifts.
Requirements
- Must be awake and ready to work predawn
- Good organization skills
- Ability to follow directions and make a plan
- Detail-oriented
- Weekend availability
- Prior experience in food prep and service preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for periods of 8+ hours each shift
- Ability to reach, bend, balance, and transport objects repeatedly during a shift

Responsibilities
- Early morning shifts from 2:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on weekends
- Efficient preparation and baking of signature items, including bagels, artisan breads, and other baked goods
- Ensuring food safety standards are respected at all times
- Maintaining stocks and performing regular inventory
