About The Position

GLEN BURNIE, MD www.keypoint.org Schedule: Saturday and Sunday awake overnight from 12 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Pay: $18.75hr Type: Part-Time SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES • Support Staff is responsible for the comprehensive services offered through on-site and off-site programs. This includes case management, psycho education, crisis intervention, advocacy, and community liaison. • Timely and accurate completion of all documentation such as shift logs, incident reports, and service notes. • Medication monitoring and education to support self-dosing of medication. • Teaching community skills including ADLs as needed in both individual and group settings. • A Rehab Counselor will assist in the transportation of clients between residences, office, and community locations as needed. • Assist the Rehabilitation Counselors and other staff as needed. • Maintaining their level of skill by completing the required 20 hours per year of training. In addition, each employee is expected to abide by all safety rules and regulations of the department and facility. • Support Staff is responsible for carrying out the mission, philosophy of care and policies of Key Point. SUPERVISION AND COORDINATION OF SERVICES Support Staff reports directly to their immediate supervisor and/or the Program Director. Support Staff coordinates with other professionals within the agency as well as outside agencies to create an interdisciplinary team approach and other assigned duties. The employee abides by the ethics set forth by the agency and the profession as a whole. Education and Experience: • High school diploma - no experience required DESIRABLE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Support Staff should have either experience or education related to the population with whom they shall work. • The employee should have knowledge of the DSM and relevant symptoms of the most common diagnosis within the RRP programs. • Support Staff will be able to demonstrate proficiency in advocacy skills and case management skills. • The employee demonstrates the ability to express themselves well through writing, interpersonal and oral communication skills. • They will demonstrate an understanding and sensitivity to serving culturally diverse and/or special needs population while maintaining patient confidentially. Staff assigned to overnight shifts must remain awake, alert, and on site throughout their scheduled shift WORK ENVIRONMENT The RRP Support staff works in a combination of office and community settings, including individuals’ residences. The Support Staff will not be required to work in conditioning including uncomfortable levels of heat, cold, light, or noise. They will not be required to work in environment in which They feel uncomfortable or that the proposed environment is in any way detrimental to their health. The position may require repetitive use of computer, keyboard, and mouse. TRAVEL Support Staff is expected to travel locally between the office, client’s residences, and community settings. They are not expected to travel out of state but may be expected to travel overnight.
