Weekend and Overnight Home Caregiver Relief Specialist
About The Position
The HCA/Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs. Qualicare Homecare BC is expanding our dedicated relief team! We have immediate openings for Health Care Aides/Caregivers specifically available for weekend coverage, evening shifts, and overnight care. Qualicare Homecare is looking for compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals to join our family as Health Care Aides (HCAs)/ Personal Support Workers (PSWs)/ Caregivers. Qualicare Homecare BC offers home care services that focus on providing the best quality of life for our clients and peace of mind for their families. Requirements
- Availability: Strong preference for candidates available for overnight, evening, and weekend schedules
- Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student).
- Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
- CRC for Vulnerable Sector (valid for 5 years) or willingness to obtain
- Ability to travel around Greater Vancouver Area
- Access to Internet/smart phone with data
Responsibilities
- Assistance with personal care and hygiene
- Meal Preparation
- Light Housekeeping
- Accompany clients on outings
- Shopping and errands
- Medication Assist/ Reminders
- Ambulation and transporting of clients
- Provide companionship to clients
- Ability to follow care-plan
- Documentation/Charting
