About The Position
Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking a dependable, compassionate night-shift specialist to provide dedicated 1-on-1 end-of-life care for a hospice client during weekend overnight hours. The role requires a vigilant, gentle caregiver to ensure client safety, comfort, and peace of mind throughout the night. This is a 1-on-1 dedicated care position in a quiet home environment with a predictable weekend schedule, offering 24/7 support and benefits.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ years of caregiving with direct hospice, end-of-life, or overnight care experience.
- CNA certification strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to stay alert through the night and ironclad weekend attendance.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Hold a High School Diploma/GED.
- Have a valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
- Pass a background check.

Responsibilities
- Remaining 100% awake, alert, and responsive throughout all overnight shifts.
- Providing gentle repositioning, turning, and personal hygiene/incontinence care to maintain skin integrity and comfort.
- Observing changes in comfort, breathing, or distress and communicating effectively with the hospice team.
- Assisting with the Monday morning handoff to daytime staff at 8:00 AM.
