We’re searching for a skilled, proactive, and reliable Maintenance Technician to support multiple properties within the San Diego region and ensure our spaces are always safe, functional, and beautifully presented. This hands-on role is essential to keeping our ceremony sites, reception spaces, suites, and kitchens in top condition. Requirements

  • 3+ years in facility maintenance, building operations, or similar trade experience
  • General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and basic repairs
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and execute repairs safely and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail with pride in maintaining polished, guest-ready spaces
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (regional travel required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physical work as needed
  • Comfort with technology and work order software (iPad-based systems)
  • Familiarity with building codes, ADA standards, and safety compliance
  • Experience using maintenance ticketing/work order systems

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections across assigned venues (ceremony sites, ballrooms, offices, suites, kitchens)
  • Complete general repair work including plumbing, electrical, HVAC troubleshooting, carpentry, painting, and power washing
  • Maintain safety systems, lighting, and HVAC performance
  • Oversee landscaping, irrigation, and outdoor lighting for ceremony spaces
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs and quarterly inspection reports
  • Coordinate with outside vendors when specialized support is required
  • Create and follow a preventative maintenance plan for each property
  • Track and document work orders, repair timelines, and maintenance needs
  • Ensure all spaces are event-ready with proactive maintenance
  • Respond to urgent issues on event days as needed
  • Partner with venue teams to prioritize maintenance based on event schedules
  • Work closely with Regional Managers and our Facilities Department on priorities
  • Provide timely updates through reports or maintenance systems
  • Support fellow regional technicians when needed to ensure coverage and timely resolution
