As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, implementing sales and marketing strategies to maximize profits while maintaining customer satisfaction, and meeting and exceeding forecasted and budgeted revenue goals. You will manage group and transient accounts to maximize business potential, negotiate contracts, and make on-site and field presentations to prospective clients. This role involves actively pursuing new clients through creative sales techniques and prospecting, identifying opportunities to upsell customers, and driving strategies to develop long-term business relationships and repeat business. You will enthusiastically sell the hotel concept to group and catering prospects, prospect for new group business using various methods, and attend tradeshows. Conducting unique site inspections, creating customized menus and proposals, and responding to customer inquiries within 24 hours are key responsibilities. You will maintain accurate booking information, produce and distribute accurate group resumes, and provide client support. Additionally, you will provide hotel support, generate reports as needed, and maintain liaison with other hotel departments. You will be an active part of the property team, supporting the desired culture, driving product quality, and maintaining a positive attitude. Developing strong interdepartmental relationships and scheduling meetings are also part of the role.
