About The Position

The WEC Warehouse Associate handles and processes units by moving them from the floor to a conveyor, identifying model numbers, kit types, processing requirements, and date codes, and transferring information into a computer. The role involves entering data for specific return SKUs, navigating computer screens, following on-screen instructions, and completing processing correctly. The associate follows written and verbal instructions, observes safety rules, contributes to team goals for safety, quality, delivery, and cost, and follows the Jackson site’s environmental policy. Other related duties may be assigned. The position works under general supervision, with routine work performed independently and questionable cases referred to a supervisor. Planning and decision-making responsibilities are limited, and the work involves light mental demand and following predetermined procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Be available for scheduled work every day and arrive on time.
• Be detail-oriented.
• Be computer-literate and able to enter data and navigate instructional screens.
• Be capable and willing to work scheduled weekend overtime as required.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions and short correspondence, notes, letters, and memos, and to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, including using money and other forms of measurement.
• Ability to use common-sense understanding to follow detailed written or oral instructions and address routine problems involving a few known variables.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in a manufacturing or distribution center (DC) environment is preferred.
