Our direct client has an opening for a WebSphere Administrator # 129675. This position is for 12+ months, with option of extension, and will be worked mostly remote within the State of WI (Candidate must work CST business hours). Requirements

  • Must be Local WI to APPLY.
  • Candidate must be a currently reside in wisconsin.
  • Candidate must work CST business hours
  • 5+ years of Installation, maintenance, administration and monitoring of the WebSphere Software in a multi-platform environment (Linux and Windows).
  • Ability to provide proactive resolution of problems and/or alerts received by various monitoring and management systems.
  • Ability to provide resolution of connectivity problems, assisting users, and debugging problems.
  • Hands-on technical experience in support of software tools such as WebSphere Application Server.
  • Experience with a broad range of technical skills in support of all WebSphere customers.
  • Training and/or experience with scripting tools such as Bash, Korn, and Jython.
  • Knowledge of change management best practices in a complex hosting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Installation, maintenance, administration and monitoring of the WebSphere Software in a multi-platform environment (Linux and Windows).
  • Proactive resolution of problems and/or alerts received by various monitoring and management systems.
  • Resolution of connectivity problems, assisting users, and debugging problems.
  • Hands-on technical experience in support of software tools such as WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Portal.
  • Provide support for various departments’ applications running on WebSphere and IBM WebSphere MQ.
  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance, support, and configuration of hardware and software.
  • Responsible for application deployments.
  • Maintain and update infrastructure documentation.
  • Complete implementation of security policies and filters associated with the tools.
  • Provide additional troubleshooting support.
