About The Position

Kicksite is seeking a Website Designer with a foundational understanding of WordPress and a desire to produce aesthetically pleasing websites that help our clients grow their businesses and brands. This is a design-focused position, not a web development role, offering the opportunity to apply growing skills working on templated WordPress websites. The company's mission is to Make Businesses Better by revolutionizing the way martial arts studios, gyms, and fitness-focused businesses operate, and this role contributes to enhancing clients' online presence.

Requirements

Strong understanding of WordPress and/or basic content management systems.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) or other design tools to be able to manipulate assets for websites (graphics).
High level of attention to detail & motivation.
Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles.
Good communication, project management, and collaboration skills.
Candidates MUST be located in the Kansas City Metro Area.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.

Responsibilities

Build and design responsive WordPress websites that align with client needs and Kicksite brand guidelines.
Collaborate with front-end developers, customer support/success teams, and sales/marketing teams to execute web projects effectively.
Develop and maintain website design standards, ensuring consistency and best practices across projects.
Optimize websites for performance, accessibility, and SEO.
Stay current with web design and development trends, continuously enhancing your skills.
