About The Position

Guidehouse is seeking a Website and Graphic Design Lead to support a Department of State client within the Defense & Security Segment’s Human ‑ Centered Design (HCD) team. In this role, you will apply structured design, content strategy, and human ‑ centered methodologies to enhance the clarity, usability, and impact of mission ‑ critical web and multimedia products.

Requirements

  • An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • THREE (3) years’ experience in graphic design

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex technical concepts into intuitive, visually compelling formats—such as infographics, reports, presentations, and multimedia—tailored for the general public and internal federal audiences.
  • Build and maintain standardized visual frameworks, templates, and identity systems to ensure consistency across all communications.
  • Apply human‑centered design methodologies to improve clarity, discoverability, and usability of web and multimedia products.
  • Manage and update web content using structured workflows, ensuring accuracy, accessibility (including Section 508), and alignment with stakeholder needs.
  • Monitor user engagement metrics (e.g., time on site, downloads, open rates, video views) and leverage insights to shape content and design decisions.
  • Track performance trends and recommend iterative improvements to enhance effectiveness and impact.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams to align design and content strategies, ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery.
  • Manage multiple concurrent design projects, from intake through delivery, using structured project management techniques to maintain quality and meet deadlines.
  • Integrate stakeholder feedback to refine design and multimedia products for clarity, usability, and mission alignment.
  • Identify and propose opportunities to streamline design processes and enhance scalability through improved tools, templates, and standards.
