About The Position
Guidehouse is seeking a Website and Graphic Design Lead to support a Department of State client within the Defense & Security Segment’s Human‑Centered Design (HCD) team. In this role, you will apply structured design, content strategy, and human‑centered methodologies to enhance the clarity, usability, and impact of mission‑critical web and multimedia products.
Requirements
- An ACTIVE and MAINTAINED "SECRET" Federal or DoD security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree
- THREE (3) years’ experience in graphic design

Responsibilities
- Translate complex technical concepts into intuitive, visually compelling formats—such as infographics, reports, presentations, and multimedia—tailored for the general public and internal federal audiences.
- Build and maintain standardized visual frameworks, templates, and identity systems to ensure consistency across all communications.
- Apply human‑centered design methodologies to improve clarity, discoverability, and usability of web and multimedia products.
- Manage and update web content using structured workflows, ensuring accuracy, accessibility (including Section 508), and alignment with stakeholder needs.
- Monitor user engagement metrics (e.g., time on site, downloads, open rates, video views) and leverage insights to shape content and design decisions.
- Track performance trends and recommend iterative improvements to enhance effectiveness and impact.
- Partner with cross‑functional teams to align design and content strategies, ensuring timely, high‑quality delivery.
- Manage multiple concurrent design projects, from intake through delivery, using structured project management techniques to maintain quality and meet deadlines.
- Integrate stakeholder feedback to refine design and multimedia products for clarity, usability, and mission alignment.
- Identify and propose opportunities to streamline design processes and enhance scalability through improved tools, templates, and standards.
