About The Position

Join Ciena’s Digital Engagement team to contribute to the execution of webinar, event, and email marketing programs that support audience engagement and campaign performance. This role helps deliver consistent, high-quality marketing communications through marketing automation platforms while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence. The position also strengthens email marketing execution through quality assurance, reporting, and support during high-volume campaign periods.

Requirements

3+ years using application of Marketo or a similar marketing automation platform.
Experience building or supporting email marketing campaigns, landing pages, forms, and automated marketing programs.
Application of email marketing fundamentals, including segmentation, suppression logic, personalization tokens, send scheduling, and compliance requirements.
Organizational and communication skills applied to managing multiple timelines, stakeholder requests, and campaign details while maintaining quality and accuracy.
Familiarity with marketing performance data collection, organization, and interpretation for email and webinar metrics.

Nice To Haves

Application of webinar platforms such as ON24, Zoom Webinars, Zoom Events, Microsoft Teams, or similar tools.
Experience with Knak or similar block- or template-based WYSIWYG email editors and Optimizely CMS or related content management platforms.
Experience supporting webinars, email programs, live events, and digital events.
Familiarity with webinar registration workflows, reminder sequences, attendee and no-show follow-up, on-demand promotion, and campaign timelines.
Basic understanding of HTML/CSS, email rendering, QA tools, UTM tracking, preference center and unsubscribe requirements, and email compliance practices.

Responsibilities

Own assigned Marketo builds and execution activities for webinar and event email programs, including invitations, confirmations, reminders, follow-ups, post-event emails, and on-demand promotions.
Configure and perform quality assurance for Marketo program elements, including smart lists, smart campaigns, tokens, forms, landing pages, send scheduling, suppression logic, and deployment setup.
Partner with webinar and email marketing specialists to execute programs in alignment with channel strategy, process standards, and best practices.
Coordinate with webinar, event, campaign, and email stakeholders to validate requirements, assets, audience criteria, timelines, approvals, and deployment readiness.
Collect and perform first-level analysis of email and webinar metrics and reporting.
Review email programs against internal standards and documented quality assurance processes and complete assigned overflow build and QA activities.
Provide day-of-production or technical support for live webinars as required.
