Web Strategy & Optimization Manager

ComplyAdvantage•New York, NY
•$120,000 - $150,000

About The Position

The Web Strategy & Optimization Manager owns ComplyAdvantage’s web estate as a commercial growth platform. The role is accountable for increasing the platform’s contribution to brand, demand, customer engagement and education, pipeline, and revenue. It sets the web strategy and roadmap, then builds, tests, and ships improvements on a continuous basis. The role spans web strategy and development, conversion and growth, content and search, user and customer experience, technology and execution, and data and measurement. It defines the web experience by audience and customer journey stage; prioritizes investment based on cost, return, and opportunity cost; and establishes operating processes for intake, delivery, measurement, and iteration. It owns conversion performance, experimentation, search visibility—including SEO, AEO, and GEO—and the technology stack and measurement framework. The position works across marketing, product marketing, demand generation, brand, product, sales, customer success, people, IT, and data. Success in the first year includes an agreed and funded web strategy, trusted measurement and reporting, an active experimentation program, demonstrable improvements in conversion and commercial contribution, and improved visibility in traditional search and AI-generated answers.

Requirements

  • Significant experience owning a commercial web estate in a B2B technology, SaaS, or FinTech environment.
  • A track record of measurable commercial improvement in conversion rate, pipeline contribution, revenue, or self-serve growth, supported by evidence.
  • Deep experience with conversion rate optimization and experimentation, including test design, opportunity sizing, and honest interpretation of results.
  • Strong command of modern search, including AI-driven answer engines and implications for content and technical strategy.
  • Fluency with modern web technology and analytics sufficient to make architecture and tooling decisions and hold technical partners accountable.
  • Experience leading through influence across marketing, product, sales, and engineering stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate as both strategist and hands-on executor.
  • Commercially minded approach focused on return on investment and defensible priorities.
  • Customer-focused approach informed by detailed understanding of user journeys.
  • Data-driven approach to forming hypotheses, testing them, and responding to evidence.
  • Ability to develop and communicate a strategic, two-year view of the platform.
  • Strong execution skills, including moving quickly and completing work.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Growth mindset, including seeking feedback, sharing credit, and treating failed tests as information.

  • Partner with demand generation on campaign landing experiences, personalization, and lead quality.
  • Own search strategy across SEO, AEO, and GEO, and track visibility in priority categories.
  • Build technical, structural, and content foundations for discoverability, including information architecture, schema, site performance, internal linking, and content governance.
  • Work with brand, product marketing, and content teams to create credible, discoverable, and converting web content.

  • Improve usability, accessibility, and performance across devices and markets served.
  • Extend the web experience into onboarding, education, and existing-customer engagement.
  • Own the web technology stack and its roadmap, including content management, testing and personalization tools, analytics, and integrations with marketing and revenue systems.
  • Make build, buy, and partner decisions based on speed, cost, and long-term maintainability.
  • Manage agency and contractor relationships and hold partners to the same standards as internal teams.
  • Work with IT, security, and data teams on privacy, consent, resilience, and compliance requirements.
  • Define the web asset’s measurement framework and how its metrics connect to pipeline and revenue.
  • Build instrumentation and attribution with marketing operations and data teams.
  • Ensure significant changes have a hypothesis and a post-change read-out, and turn analysis into decisions.
  • Provide the wider business with regular, clear reporting on the platform’s commercial performance.
  • Align the web roadmap with marketing strategy and investment priorities, and collaborate across product marketing, demand generation, brand, product, sales, customer success, people, IT, and data.
