About The Position

We're hiring for a product manager whose mission would be to make the online content more helpful and more delightful for our audience to engage with — increasing both readership and the number of visitors who take a meaningful next step toward high-impact careers. The core of the role is sharp product judgment combined with a deep understanding and curiosity about our audience. We're looking for someone who finds understanding our readers — talented people interested in doing good — genuinely exciting. This will ideally be a fairly senior, high-ownership role. If things go well, the person in this role would ultimately own product strategy for the site and related products, manage our web engineer, and build their team from there. We are open to hiring either straight into the more senior role or hiring someone with less relevant experience who can start in a slightly more scoped version and grow into larger responsibilities over time.

Requirements

• Design taste

• Basic technical skills
• Ability to direct engineers and designers on what to build
• 3+ years experience (for Senior role)
