About The Position

Vericast is seeking a Web Press Operator for the 2nd shift, working Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm. This role operates within a temperature-controlled, bright, and clean manufacturing printing team-based environment. The operator is responsible for the daily operation of web presses, maintaining their cleanliness and functionality. This includes coordinating with internal agencies for necessary materials such as ink, plates, paper, and tape, and ensuring the accuracy of printed materials.

Requirements

Excellent work habits and willingness to be a team player.
Ability to identify colors and imperfections.
Proven track record in waste reduction and profit improvement.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. on occasion.
High Mechanical Reasoning.

Nice To Haves

Minimum 3 years offset/web printing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate web presses as directed by the press operator.
Maintain cleanliness and operation of the press.
Coordinate with internal agencies for required materials (ink, plates, paper, tape, etc.).
Ensure accuracy of printed material.
Perform daily/weekly maintenance and safety checks.
Set up print units, numbering units, process units, and delivery units.
Conduct quality inspections before, during, and after printing.
Execute clean-up and shut-down procedures at the end of the shift.
Communicate effectively with relevant departments.
