About The Position

The Web & Digital Marketing Intern gains hands-on experience on the search, website, and AEO side of Jewelers Mutual's Marketing/Digital Experience team. This role supports website content publishing, SEO and AEO fundamentals, and analytics reporting under the direction of the Digital Marketing Specialist. It is designed as a learning pathway into web-focused digital marketing careers: CMS management, technical SEO, AI/LLM search optimization (AEO), and data-driven decision-making. This is a developmental role that builds toward greater ownership over time. The primary goal is to build fluency in the tools and workflows that support strategic web/SEO decisions, with structured opportunities to present learnings and take ownership of a defined project by the end of the term.

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Interactive/Web Media, Communications, or a related field.
  • Interest in SEO, AEO, and how AI/LLM tools are changing search.
  • Interest in the "why" behind work.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable working with spreadsheets and dashboards.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work from defined templates and briefs.
  • Clear written communication skills; ability to document findings and present them to a small team.

  • Coursework, personal projects, or prior internship exposure to websites, content management or analytics.

  • Support the editorial calendar workflow between the writing team and legal, and the QA process for campaign and strategic partner landing pages.
  • Learn and apply core SEO practices (keyword research, on-page optimization, metadata, internal linking) under the Specialist's direction.
  • Get hands-on exposure to Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), how content is cited and surfaced in AI-generated search results, using Conductor and Google Search Console, building toward an independent monthly organic performance summary.
  • Pull and format MixPanel, Google Search Console, and Conductor exports for internal reporting.
  • Assist in building a MixPanel or GSC dashboard against a defined KPI (e.g., blog traffic, landing page conversion) and flag anomalies to the Specialist for diagnosis.
  • Own one defined website enhancement or reporting project end-to-end during the second half of the internship, with guidance but without day-to-day direction, to build initiative and project-ownership experience.
