About The Position

LangChain's web presence is crucial as both a product and a growth engine, serving as the primary touchpoint for developers to evaluate tools, learn about the company, and decide on deeper engagement. This role is responsible for the strategy, quality, and evolution of LangChain's web properties across marketing, product, and education. It's a high-ownership position for an individual who thinks systematically and values craftsmanship. The Web Lead will define the strategic direction for LangChain's web presentation, establish processes for site accuracy and performance, lead conversion and SEO initiatives, and collaborate closely with content, design, growth engineering, and demand generation teams.

Requirements

  • Strategic operator with the ability to manage long-term vision and day-to-day execution.
  • Deep understanding of how great websites are built, including architecture, technical foundations, tooling, and operational discipline for performance.
  • Analytically rigorous with the ability to define success metrics, instrument them, and use data for decision-making.
  • Comfortable with analytics platforms and capable of designing and interpreting experiments.
  • Understanding of what earns trust with technical audiences and how to present credibly to developers.
  • Collaborative and clear communicator, able to build alignment, articulate trade-offs, and drive progress without direct authority.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the web roadmap, maintaining a prioritized view of necessary builds, fixes, and improvements across all web properties, balancing strategic initiatives with ongoing maintenance, quality, and reliability.
  • Translate business priorities into actionable web plans and drive them to completion.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for web-related activities across marketing, education, product marketing, design, and growth engineering.
  • Manage the intake, review, and launch process for web changes to ensure speed and confidence.
  • Establish and enforce processes for site accuracy, up-to-dateness, and technical debt reduction, including governance for page creation/deprecation, content hygiene, and cross-functional intake.
  • Own the relationship with CMS and web tooling vendors, ensuring efficient team operations and evaluating new tools as needed.
  • Develop and execute a conversion rate optimization (CRO) program for key pages (homepage, product, pricing, landing pages), including designing and running experiments, analyzing results, and implementing improvements.
  • Define and track web performance metrics across traffic, engagement, conversion, and downstream product impact, maintaining a regular reporting cadence.
  • Partner with demand generation teams to design, build, and optimize campaign landing pages, applying a disciplined, test-and-learn approach.
  • Partner with the content team to integrate SEO insights into editorial and technical content decisions, ensuring published content captures high-intent traffic.
  • Establish shared processes for keyword research, on-page optimization, and performance tracking with the content team.
  • Collaborate with the SEO agency and content team to define the organic search strategy across marketing and product pages, prioritizing based on search intent, competitive opportunity, and business impact.
  • Partner with engineering to ensure the site's technical foundation supports strong organic performance, focusing on site speed, Core Web Vitals, crawlability, schema markup, and indexing health.
  • Provide strategic direction on web architecture, balancing developer credibility with commercial clarity, and guiding the website's evolution alongside product and company growth.
  • Understand the needs of marketing, sales, product, and education teams and translate them into a coherent web strategy.
