About The Position

OUC - The Reliable One is seeking a Web & Digital Media Specialist to join the Marketing & New Products division. This role supports the day-to-day maintenance and updates of OUC’s digital channels, including OUC.com, OUC360, internal sites, and customer email communications. The specialist will work within a ticketing workflow for routine updates, digital asset changes, customer alerts, and data management tasks. Key responsibilities include ensuring web content, emails, and digital media align with brand standards and user needs, assisting in creating custom webpages and digital elements, designing digital media assets, supporting email deployments, updating analytics dashboards, and maintaining the customer email database. The role also supports urgent digital communications during storms or outages and collaborates with internal departments and the Senior Web & Digital Media Specialist. This position follows a 40-hour hybrid schedule (Tuesday-Thursday in office, Monday-Friday remote) with occasional planned after-hours support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Marketing, Communications, or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in web content management, digital media production, or digital communications
  • Experience creating, writing, editing, proofreading, scheduling, and designing digital content and assets—including graphics, video, audio, banners, and interactive elements
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing principles, Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms (WordPress preferred), email platforms, Google Analytics/Looker Studio/Search Console, and marketing automation/CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS/JavaScript and test/dev/prod environments, UI/UX and accessibility principles, SEO and performance metrics, website optimization tools, broadcast/alert systems, and AI tools for digital content creation
  • Ability to interpret analytics, communicate clearly, create user-friendly digital content, collaborate effectively, and stay organized and proactive while managing multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule (40 hours/week) with on-site presence Tuesday–Thursday and remote work Monday and Friday, along with willingness and ability to provide planned after-hours support approximately six times per year.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience translating complex, technical concepts into easy-to-understand and compelling visuals (preferred)
  • Experience supporting digital marketing strategy, email platforms, and basic front‑end web technologies (preferred)
  • Experience with AI tools and emerging technologies for digital content creation, optimization, personalization and analytics (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update content across internal (intranet) and external websites; including routine content changes and digital asset updates.
  • Support marketing campaigns by ensuring web content, emails and digital media align with brand standards and user needs.
  • Assist in creating custom webpages, tools and widgets to support campaigns, initiatives, and business unit needs.
  • Build and schedule customer email communication, ensuring accuracy, brand alignment and adherence to best practices.
  • Support customer broadcast alerts (SMS, voice and email) by packaging and deploying communications as directed.
  • Maintain and support the customer email database, including routine data management and list updates.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to fulfill digital requests and ensure proper functionality of digital channels.
  • Design a wide variety of digital media including e-newsletters, social media content, digital documents, digital forms, banners, and interactive elements.
  • Support web deployments by posting content and monitoring site activity under the direction of a supervisor.
  • Provide analytics support by updating dashboard data, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining usability.
  • Support urgent or high-priority digital communications during events such as storms or outages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
