Web Designer
About The Position
PLACE is seeking a Web Designer to join its Brivity team and design and build websites used by real estate agents and teams. The role partners with Web Design Project Managers, the Support team, founders, and executives. The designer will customize templates and page layouts to fit customers’ brands, implement project specifications and revisions, ensure responsive performance, troubleshoot front-end and customer website issues, and use modern AI coding tools to improve development workflows. The role involves building and updating websites for multiple customers each week while following established standards.
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of web design or front-end development experience.
- A strong portfolio of websites built or customized, ideally using website builders, CMS platforms, or similar systems.
- Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Comfort editing and troubleshooting JavaScript.
- A strong grasp of responsive design.
- Ability to solve practical design problems quickly while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, or similar assistants to speed up development, troubleshoot issues, and improve workflows.
Nice To Haves
- Experience building websites for real estate professionals.
- Experience with proprietary or template-based website builders.
- Experience in a high-volume production environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement real estate websites for agents and teams using the Brivity website platform.
- Customize templates and page layouts to fit each agent’s brand.
- Ensure websites are responsive and perform well across devices.
- Build websites based on project specifications from Web Design Project Managers.
- Implement requested revisions and improvements.
- Help troubleshoot customer website issues alongside the Support team.
- Customize websites with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, improving layout behavior, styling, and interactive elements.
- Troubleshoot front-end issues and implement fixes.
- Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code to generate and refine code, and continuously improve workflows with modern tools.
- Build and update websites for multiple customers each week while following established design and development standards.
