About The Position

The Web Applications Developer II plans and develops new and current web functionality and applications. This role provides support and maintenance on new and current applications. The developer gathers and analyzes requirements from university departments, faculty, and staff. They ensure all web functions are accessibility compliant and incorporate responsive web design and technology into all site development. Web development is managed using revision control software. This position reports to the Agency Program Manager. Although this position is potentially eligible for telecommuting, it is required to work at the Headquarters (College Station, TX) for the first year. Relocation expenses will not be covered by the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or closely related field from an accredited college or university or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Four years of experience in web development/programming with relational databases to produce dynamic web-based applications and consulting and/or strategy of web development/programming and in responsive web development.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to data security, and contract requirements.
  • Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
  • Associate’s Degree with six years of experience in web development/programming with relational databases to produce dynamic web-based applications and consulting and/or strategy of web development/programming and in responsive web development (Equivalency).
  • High School Diploma/GED with eight years of experience in web development/programming with relational databases to produce dynamic web-based applications and consulting and/or strategy of web development/programming and in responsive web development (Equivalency).
