About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position for UND students only. The role involves assisting with the development and maintenance of web-based applications, supporting database design and management, and developing/updating application features using various programming languages. The position requires collaboration with team members, independent work to meet deadlines, and participation in the full software development lifecycle. Documentation of code and procedures is also a key responsibility, along with adherence to programming standards and security guidelines. This role offers hands-on experience with object-oriented programming and modern web development technologies.

  • Ability to work independently and be a team player
  • Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
  • Must verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and complete required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and maintenance of web-based applications.
  • Support the design and management of databases to meet departmental needs.
  • Develop and update application features using PHP, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, and CSS.
  • Test applications and help identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with team members on software development projects and technical initiatives.
  • Work independently on assigned tasks while meeting project deadlines.
  • Participate in application planning, development, implementation, and maintenance activities.
  • Document code changes, technical procedures, and project updates.
  • Follow established programming standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
  • Gain hands-on experience with object-oriented programming and modern web development technologies.
