Web Application Developer
About The Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position for UND students only. The role involves assisting with the development and maintenance of web-based applications, supporting database design and management, and developing/updating application features using various programming languages. The position requires collaboration with team members, independent work to meet deadlines, and participation in all phases of the application lifecycle. Documentation, adherence to standards, and gaining hands-on experience with modern web development technologies are also key aspects of this role.
Requirements
- Student for the 2026 academic year
- Ability to work on campus
- Experience with programming/development
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and be a team player
- Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
- Verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
- This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.

Responsibilities
- Assist with the development and maintenance of web-based applications.
- Support the design and management of databases to meet departmental needs.
- Develop and update application features using PHP, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, and CSS.
- Test applications and help identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with team members on software development projects and technical initiatives.
- Work independently on assigned tasks while meeting project deadlines.
- Participate in application planning, development, implementation, and maintenance activities.
- Document code changes, technical procedures, and project updates.
- Follow established programming standards, best practices, and security guidelines.
- Gain hands-on experience with object-oriented programming and modern web development technologies.
