About The Position

Kiakahi, LLC is seeking a Web Application Developer III to join their collaborative engineering team. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining engaging web and digital experiences using various graphics software, design techniques, and development tools. The developer will be responsible for creating and enhancing user interface features, animations, and interactive elements, contributing to the creative strategy for web, mobile, digital, and application initiatives in alignment with the organization's brand vision. The position involves designing and building high-impact digital solutions, translating concepts into wireframes, templates, and user-centered designs that maximize usability and engagement. Key responsibilities include developing optimized, standards-based, cross-browser compatible HTML and CSS; creating designs and templates for web, mobile, and email platforms; and producing graphics, videos, animations, and infographics for digital marketing initiatives. The role also encompasses managing website and blog content, developing landing pages and templates, and owning the testing and optimization strategy for websites and creative campaigns. The developer will create multimedia content for diverse platforms, collaborate with enterprise-level UX and multimedia teams, and work closely with designers, content creators, and cross-functional stakeholders to elevate digital design standards. This position requires presenting strategic recommendations and creative vision to executive leadership and serving as a subject matter expert on industry trends, emerging technologies, and digital best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline preferred
  • 4+ years of experience in web design and development and information technology preferred
  • Must possess and maintain an IT I level certification IAW AR 25-2 and an IAT II certification IAW DoD 8570.01-M
  • Microsoft Certified Internet Webmaster Designer certification preferred
  • Working knowledge of all Microsoft Windows workstation OS’s, Windows Server 2003 and 2008R2 and SharePoint 2010
  • Proficiency with web editing software (i.e. Dreamweaver, Web Matrix, Visual Studio .Net, Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop, Fireworks, and FrontPage)
  • Proficiency with HTML, DHTML, CGI, ASP, ASP .Net, Action Script, JavaScript (current versions)
  • Knowledge and experience communicating web development concepts to technical and non-technical personnel
  • Ability to develop technical documents and produce system design documentation
  • Possess knowledge of pertinent system software and computer equipment, using best business practices and applicable regulations
  • Ability to re-structure/re-develop web sites and upgrade framework and coding required on a case-by-case basis
  • CompTIA Security+ required
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Capable of conveying complex information in a simplistic manner
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Able to take proactive measures to prevent problems rather than reactive by nature
  • Strong verbal and written communication to effectively express concepts, plans, and proposals
  • Position requires a DoD secret security clearance
  • Must be a US citizen

Responsibilities

  • Full grasp of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX-based JSON/XML web services
  • Experience developing markup templates for use in content management systems and ecommerce systems
  • Implement design onto our website
  • Familiarity with JavaScript application frameworks (e.g. Angular, React)
  • Confidently and quickly able to navigate around and work within an unfamiliar codebase
  • Able to troubleshoot and debug complex websites
  • Ensure that covered web pages meet the requirements of Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended
  • Develop and implement Web sites per customer requirements, including web applications and static web pages
  • Design, develop, and implement web projects authorized in response to Government analysis, action and decision
  • Research the latest web technologies and web development, software packages, and operating systems to further optimize web site efficiencies and automation
  • Perform tests involving server side scripting and client side scripting, which include communications application for both browser plug-ins and client software packages
  • Maintain and modify complex systems documentation and user guides and interpret information, and provide recommendation(s) for resolving documentation conflicts
  • Provide a formal web application change management process to deploy and maintain web sites, portals, web pages, and customized applications
  • Other duties as assigned
