About The Position

Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company with over 100 years of history. As a leading global woven textile mill, we specialize in designing and manufacturing residential and contract-grade fabrics for a diverse clientele including furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and major retailers. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of our Weave Room operations.

Requirements

• Good communication skills with the ability to work well with others.
• Meet all pre-employment requirements.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Must be able to consistently lift 25+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Remove cloth from looms when flagged.
• Vacuum and clean assigned looms and creels.
• Vacuum overhead lights in weaver and warp alley.
• Keep floors swept clean throughout the shift.
• Collect selvage waste and transport it to the recycling area.
• Clean assigned stairs.
• Clean air conditioning vents.
• Advise supervisor if no ticket is flagged.
• Ensure cloth is not doffed without a ticket.
• Empty trash cans as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work scheduled overtime.
• Perform all duties in a safe manner following established guidelines.
• Report all job-related injuries and safety hazards immediately.
• Actively participate in safety programs.
• Maintain 5S standards.
