About The Position

This position is responsible for operating weaving looms and becoming proficient in the weaving process, following established Standard Operating Procedures. The role requires maintaining Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost standards. The shift for this position is the Third Shift, from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday through Friday.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and perform basic data entry.
  • Ability to complete Hazardous Communications training.
  • Ability to successfully complete lock out / tag out training.
  • Ability to be certified to operate powered industrial trucks as listed below.
  • Proficiency in the use of a ruler.
  • Ability to wear hearing protection.
  • Requires good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
  • Minimum of three to six months of experience operating machinery.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to learn independently including book, web-based and classroom participation.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Promotes a culture of safety within the organization by leading by example and encouraging others to prioritize safety.
  • Promptly reports any safety incidents or near-misses to the appropriate personnel and contributes to the investigation process.
  • Active participation in safety-related programs and initiatives is required as necessary. This includes involvement in the safety committee on a rotating schedule, as well as participation in Risk Assessments, Exposure Hunts, department inspections, and change management activities.
  • Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
  • Operate set (s) of looms.
  • Repair breaks, draw – in, repair smashes, perform style changes, ensure construction conforms to style sheets.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Doff loom pancakes and transfer to carts.
  • Accurately complete necessary production paperwork and data entry.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Excellent attendance required.
  • Full time presence required.
  • Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends.
  • Additional tasks as assigned.
