Community Housing Partners (CHP) is seeking a Weatherization Technician Intern to join our Energy Solutions team. In this role, you'll help improve the comfort, safety, health, and energy efficiency of homes across our communities while gaining valuable construction, building science, and energy-efficiency experience. Whether you're exploring a career in the skilled trades, construction, energy services, or building performance, this internship provides real-world experience, professional development, and the opportunity to transition into a full-time career.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
• Basic math skills
• Ability to safely use tools, equipment, and materials
• Basic computer and mobile device proficiency

Nice To Haves

• Vocational or technical training preferred

Responsibilities

• Install insulation and other energy-efficiency improvements
• Assist with home repairs and weatherization projects
• Seal and improve residential duct systems
• Follow safety standards, building codes, and program requirements
• Identify and document opportunities for home performance improvements
• Communicate effectively with team members and homeowners
• Support continuous improvement efforts and learn advanced weatherization techniques
